The primary goal of this “Fitter Course for Oiler/Wiper Course” is to provide trainees with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary to competently perform Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW, Stick Welding) in 1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 3G, 4G, 1G (Rotated) and 2G (Fixed) positions, basic knowledge and fabrication process for pipe cutting and fitting, basic knowledge and machining process of lathe machine for facing and turning.

Upon completion, the trainees will be able to:

• • Select and correctly set up appropriate welding equipment.
  • Apply correct welding techniques for various joints and positions.
  • Identify and understand common welding defects and their rectification.
  • Understand the principles of Oxy-fuel cutting and brazing.
  • Understand the principles of pipe-fitting and welding.
  • Understand the principles of facing and turning use by lathe machine
  • Adhere to standard occupational health and safety practices in hot-work environments.
