ℹ️ Course Overview
The primary goal of the Trainee Fitter Course is to equip trainees with the fundamental knowledge and practical skills necessary to perform various fitting tasks. Upon completion, trainees will be able to competently perform manual fitting operations, including pipe fitting, metalworking, welding, and other related processes.
📋 Learning Outcomes
- Basic Lathe Operation and Turning Process: Trainees will learn the foundational principles and practical application of lathe operations, including turning.
- Basic Metal Working Process & Bench Work Practice: This section focuses on essential metalworking techniques and hands-on bench work skills.
- Pipe Replacement & Pipe Fitting: Trainees will gain knowledge and practical experience in replacing and fitting pipes.
- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) Practice: The course includes extensive practical training in SMAW, covering various positions (1F, 2F, 3F, 4F, 1G, 2G, 3G).
- Knowledge sharing of GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) & FCAW (Flux-cored Metal Arc Welding): This module will provide an overview and theoretical understanding of two additional welding processes.
- Oxyacetylene welding, cutting and Brazing Process: Trainees will learn the principles and practical application of oxyacetylene welding, cutting, and brazing.
- Marine Engineering Knowledge: This section covers relevant knowledge specific to marine engineering applications.
- Safe use of Electrical Equipment: Trainees will be taught safety practices related to the use of electrical equipment.
